My Jeep and Me Sponsorship, affiliations and disclosure statement

My Jeep and Me Sponsorship, affiliations and disclosure statement

I offer the following disclosure statement to comply with recent FTC rulings over bloggers getting paid to write stuff (really? I could get paid for this! Note to self, fix this pronto!).

If you are reading this blog, go ahead and assume the following:

My opinions are my own. I make no promises you will achieve the same results I have from repeating (or trying to repeat) the tips and techniques mentioned in my blog. Try it at your own risk… seriously! I was not born with a wrench in my hand lol — Remember, I am just a guy trying to help.

I would like to be able to make money from every post I put on this blog. If I am not making money from every post, it was an oversight on my part and I will work to correct it soon.

Assume every link on this blog is a paid link. It’s probably not, but again, if it’s not, this is an oversight on my part and I will work to correct it soon.

If I tweet, post on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube or other social platforms, I probably try to make money from every post I make. If I don’t make money from it I would like to, so I will work to correct it in the near future.

I will promote and sell various 3rd party products and services via affiliate marketing links. These change frequently. Presume most links here have an affiliate relationship attached, but also understand that if I promote it, I use and believe in the product or service.

Example: We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Assume every product I write about on this blog I got for free. If I did not get it for free, then clearly there was a miss-communication with the company that sent it to me and I need to work to correct it very soon.

If you contact me, all of the information (good or bad) in your email, phone calls, direct messages, texts or social media posts is mine to do with as I please. This includes but is not limited to uses such as exploitation for financial profit, use as blackmail (mostly joking), or quote on my blog. Basically, don’t say it if you don’t mean it.

If you see a logo, t-shirt or a specific product in any of my videos, social media posts, or blog just assume I get paid for it. While it may just be a free t-shirt, or whatever I pulled out of my closet that day, I’d like sponsors so I will work to correct this soon too.

Yes, I like free stuff, and if you send me free stuff I will most likely do a full review on my blog, social media or both… but (read next disclosure)

Just because someone decided to give me money, free stuff, or any other benefits (I like tickets to major sporting events — just saying), it DOES NOT mean I will give you or your company a positive review, blog post or endorsement. My opinions are my own when it comes to my writing and there is a good chance I will find something I don’t like about your product and write about it.

Hopefully, the above statement achieves the necessary goal of helping me comply with FTC regulations, clears up any misconceptions or conflicts of interest anyone may have about this blog, and added a little humor along the way.
