Ram consistently produces high-quality trucks that keep buyers loyal to their brand. Each truck varies a little bit in the number of features and power capacity.

The nicest Ram truck is the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited because of the extra luxury features. The Ram 1500 is a very capable truck that strives to create the best possible driver experience. The added convenience features make the RAM 1500 Limited nicer than the other 2022 Ram pickup options.

If you just want a nice truck, the Ram 1500 is perfect, but the 1500 classic, 2500, and 3500 are also great trucks for different reasons.

2022 Ram 1500 Limited

The interior features of the truck are what make the RAM 1500 so special. All the additional features that make driving and riding more enjoyable are why the 2020 Ram 1500 won the Luxury Car of the Year Award. Each new year of this model continues to keep up with the standard of luxury that buyers have begun to expect from a RAM 1500.

It is important to note that there are six different trims available, and they don’t all have the same high-end additions. In order of ascending price, the trim options are Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. The Tradesman is pretty basic and probably would not be considered one of the nicest trucks. On the other hand, the Limited sweeps the competition with its convenience and comfort.

The full leather seats in a Ram 1550 Limited are instantly eye-catching in an all-over jet black color. The seating is both stylish and ultra-comfortable, even in the backseat. Passengers don’t have to feel cramped anymore with an impressive 45.2 inches of legroom in the back. The backseat also has eight different degrees for reclining for the ultimate passenger experience.

The bed space is crucial to the functionality of a pickup, but the RAM 1500 also has impressive interior storage options. The roomy backseat opens up plenty of room for in-floor cargo storage underneath the seats.

The Ram 1500 is the nicest of the bunch because of its advanced technology as well. The rearview mirror is so much more than a reflection. At the push of a button, the rearview mirror displays real-time video from a camera pointed at all the hard-to-see details behind you. It has a 12-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash with easy phone connectivity for music, navigation, hotspot, and more. The driver gets their 7-inch screen between the dials to display everything they need to know in easy-to-read 3-D color graphics.

Many of these tech features can be found on various models of Ram trucks but the RAM 1500 has something unique as well. As a driver of the 2022 Ram 1500, you never have to take your eyes off the road. Your speed, navigation, and call information can all be displayed on the windshield at eye level. Never having to take your eyes off the road makes for not only a more convenient, but a safer drive.

Ram 1500 has four different engine options available, so you can ensure that your truck will have enough power. The basic gas engine is a 3.6L V6 engine and is equipped with eTorque technology. This efficient little engine will deliver 269 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower, allowing for a maximum towing weight of 7,730 pounds. If that’s not enough power for you, you can upgrade to a 5.7L V8 engine either with or without eTorque. The larger engine will produce 410 pound-feet of torque and 395 horsepower. Without eTorque, the maximum trailering capacity is 11,610 pounds, but with other add-ons, you get up to 12,750 pounds.

The final engine option is a diesel model. Only 3.0L and V6, but the trailering capacity is just as impressive as the large gas engines at a max of 12,560 pounds. It can produce 480 pound-feet of torque and 260 horsepower while also being the most fuel-efficient of all the options.

2022 Ram 1500 Classic

It’s no surprise that the Ram 1500 Classic holds many similarities to 1500, but the differences are pretty significant. For starters, the Classic is cheaper than the standard RAM 1500. While this vehicle is cheaper, it has less quality, durability, and power than the other RAM trucks. The Classic is designed to be a basic and affordable truck for the masses, perfect for your average Joe but a little lackluster for those who want a luxury vehicle.

The touchscreen is much smaller at 8.4 inches, but still has all the features that you need. You can set up a hotspot for the passengers, play music, and pull up turn-by-turn navigation. USB ports and a power outlet will help accommodate any devices you or your passenger may use. The driver still gets their 7-inch digital display of the truck’s performance. The interior is either cloth or vinyl, depending on the trim, coming in various shades of black and grey.

There are two engines available for the Classic, a 3.6L V6 or a 5.7L V8. The smaller engine comes standard for this truck and has the better gas mileage out of the two. The V6 will provide 269 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower, but the V8 can get 410 pound-feet and 395 horsepower.

2022 Ram 2500

The 2022 Ram 2500 is a huge step up in luxury compared to the Classic, but not quite comparable to the RAM 1500. The seats are full leather in either black or a deep brown and the back seats fold down for extra storage. A full touchscreen with all the capabilities and premium surround sound audio makes for a very comfortable ride. The driver’s info screen is also able to display information on the truck’s off-roading capabilities.

The RAM 2500 may be a little less luxurious, but it makes up for the deficit in impressive power. The standard engine is a 6.4L V8 with 429 pound-feet of torque, 410 horsepower, and a 17,540-pound towing capacity. You also have the option to upgrade to a diesel engine with even more torque and a 20,000-pound towing capacity.

2022 Ram 3500

In my opinion, the 2022 Ram 3500 is the runner-up for the nicest Ram truck. It is only missing a few of the high-end features that you see in the RAM 1500. It still has all the advanced technology and luxury seating that most people want. If you want a high-end ride, but your top priority is power, the 3500 is perfect.

The standard gas engine is already pretty impressive with a maximum towing capacity of over 18,000 pounds. The 6.4L V8 boasts 429 pound-feet of torque and 410 horsepower. For even more power, opt for one of the 3500’s two turbo diesel engines available. By making the switch you will get over 1,000 pound-feet of torque, 420 horsepower, and a max towing capacity of 14,000 pounds!
