A lot of the same features are available in both trims, but while some come at an extra cost in the LTZ bundle, they are automatically included in the High Country.

Both the LTZ and High Country trims can take you anywhere in great comfort.
The main differences in the cabin involve the built-in technology and style.
The LTZ trim includes seats that can be black or Gideon Grey.

Like many trucks, the LTZ trim includes a fold-down front middle seat.
This is a great feature for those with bigger families, but might not be appealing if you like to keep a lot of personal items in the center storage compartment.
The infotainment system is a 6-inch display.
However, it does not include a parking assist.
LTZ comes with automatic climate control and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
If you’re parking outside, the LTZ has a remote start and a heated steering wheel, so you can enjoy a warm car even in the dead of winter.
The High Country interior is just like the LTZ but better.
It comes in black or a stunning umber with black accents.
It doesn’t have a fold-down front middle seat and instead has lots of storage space in the center console.
You won’t need to worry about finding another place to set your drink, but you will have one less seat than the LTZ.
With this trim, your infotainment system will be 8-inches instead of 6.
You’ll also be able to enjoy perks like the park assist, lane-change alert, and a Bose Soundsystem.
In addition to the remote start and heated steering wheel, your High Country cabin will also have heated seats in the front and back.
You’ll also have the ability to raise and lower the tailgate from the comfort of the driver’s seat.
The outside of both trims look very similar but have subtle differences in design and color.
The LTZ trim is sleek and uniform, while the High Country has a couple of accents that stand out.
The body color of the LTZ is entirely chrome.
The handles, grille, and mirrors all match and create a smooth, unified look.
On the High Country, the handles, mirrors, and grille include accents in bronze that make this trim really stand out on the road.
Under the Hood
If you’re the sort of person that likes speed, both trucks will be a good option.
They use the same 5.3L V8 engine, but there are other options for both trims that can be added after-market such, as the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 with DFM, and the DURAMAX 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I6.
The transmission is where the real difference in performance lies.
Both trims come standard with 8-speed transmission, but the High Country can be upgraded with a 10-speed transmission.
The 10-speed transmission tends to get better fuel efficiency and experiences less friction than the 8-speed.
As you’d probably expect, with all the tech options available in the High Country Silverado, that trim does make the price higher than the LTZ.
If you buy the brand new 2022 model, you’re looking at around $78,660 for the High Country and $55,250 for the 2021 LTZ.
Used, a High Country Silverado can be anywhere from $20,000 to market value, depending on the year, but they are usually between $35,000 and $70,000.
The LTZ is usually between $20,000 and $60,000.
Add on any extra performance package or accessories, and that price goes up even higher.
If you’re trying to save your wallet, the LTZ trim is the way to go, but you don’t get as much for your money.
To get all the luxury and safety features, you’ll probably want to spend a little more and get the High Country.
LTZ or High Country?
If you’ve decided you’re buying a Chevy, chances are, money isn’t your biggest concern.
You’ll want a sturdy truck that gives you the best mileage and highest level of comfort.
If this is the case, the High Country trim is the best option.
But if upwards of $60,000 isn’t quite in your price range, the LTZ trim also makes a reliable, luxury vehicle.
