There are a lot of things I enjoy doing, and one of them is waxing my vehicles to make them shine like new. I can spend hours and hours cleaning and detailing cars, Jeeps, boats, it does not matter.
Yes, it can be exhausting work, but I find great pleasure in stepping back when I am done and admiring the fact I can see my reflection in the finish. With this said, I know not everyone shares my passion for such laborious work as a three to four step detailing process that can take three to five hours or more.
This got me thinking. If someone wanted to get a nice shine on their car but does not want to spend a lot of time, what would I recommend? I would recommend a spray wax. It is quick, easy and provides a quick shine without much work. Just spray it on and wipe it off.

What Is the Easiest Car Wax To Use?
Two of these products are applied and removed using the same technique. With the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax and Ultima Paint Guard Plus, you wash your car, dry it and then apply the spray wax.
With both of these, you simply spray on the wax lightly, wipe it on with a microfiber towel. Then once rubbed in, you can lightly buff it off with a clean microfiber towel. For the Ultima, you may not need to buff unless you see streaks.

What is the Best Spray Wax To Use In The Sun?
From my experience, all three products work fine when used in direct sunlight. The biggest concern when working in direct sunlight is the temperature of the vehicle.
The water may cool off the paint, but the sun can heat it up in a hurry, especially during the summer months. This heat can cause the wax to flash (dry) too quickly making it a challenge to spread properly.
Side Note: Always read the label to see what it says about the application in direct sunlight.
The Meguiars and Ultima products are wiped on and buff off while the McKee’s 37 is sprayed on and rinsed off. A spray wax can last from a few weeks to many months. It all depends on the product and the chemicals used to make the products. For the purposes of our discussion, I will speak to my experience with these three products.
