9. Mytee S-300H Tempo Heated Carpet and Upholstery Extractor

Last update on 2024-04-16 / If you click this affiliate link and make a purchase, we earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Out of all the carpet extractors on the market, the Mytee S-300H is one of the best models you can purchase if you want to be able to really remove dirt and grime from your car at a professional detailer’s level, but don’t have the room or budget for a larger machine.

Weighing only 33 pounds and standing 20 inches in height, the Mytee S-330H is an impressively powerful cleaner but doesn’t take up the space that others of its caliber do.

This machine can hold up to a gallon of water at a time, meaning it will be able to complete most jobs without being refilled.

Its heater is 600 watts, which allows the water to get to a temperature that is really designed for deep cleaning and dirt extraction. At 600 watts, it will be hard for a stain to stay attached to the fabrics and will likely dissolve relatively easily.

The Mytee S-300H retails for around $600, which means it’s not one of the least expensive extractors on my list. This price is more in line with professional-grade auto detailing carpet extractors.

But if you believe that a good carpet extractor is something that will get a good amount of use in your garage or home, then the Mytee S-300H may be worth the investment.

10. Bissell Spot Bot Deep Cleaner

Bissell is known for making excellent carpet cleaners, and the Bissell Spot Bot Deep Cleaner is no exception to this.

Created for true, hands-free cleaning and spot removal, the Bissell Spot Bot works wonders on auto detailing jobs with just a simple push of a button.

The container that holds the shampooing solution makes it easy to see exactly how much cleaning agent is still available. Depending on the size of the carpet you are cleaning, the Spot Bot can be adjusted accordingly.

The Bissell Spot Bot has a myriad of hoses and brushes that will tackle a variety of needs and the extraction process is so easy, that you will find yourself wanting to use this machine for jobs outside of just your auto detailing.

The Spt Bot boasts its effectiveness on all sorts of stubborn stains, particularly pet stains.

So, if your furball spends a significant amount of time in your car, the Bissell Spot Bot might be the extractor you want to consider. It can also be easily taken inside to rid other carpeted areas of your four-legged friend’s hair and messes.

At a price tag of around $200, the Bissell Spot Bot won’t set you back as much as the Mytee S-300H will, but its ease of use and effectiveness may be exactly what you need, with a smaller price tag attached.

11. Bissell Little Green Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner

Last update on 2024-04-16 / If you click this affiliate link and make a purchase, we earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Another Bissell favorite is the Little Green Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, one of Bissel’s all-time best-selling carpet machines.

This little extractor has been touted as having the ability to clean a small mess or a whole car, depending on what your needs are. It is an easy machine to maneuver, which makes it great to use in smaller vehicles, where getting into the nooks and crannies is not always easy.

The Little Green holding tank can accommodate 48 ounces, meaning you can clean an entire car or even a small SUV before you need to switch out the tank and refill the solution.

And, since it only weighs 9 pounds (close to 10 when full), this little green machine is easy to transport and use wherever you need it.

The Little Green also comes with enough attachments to make any professional car detailer envious. It boasts its own self-cleaning host tool, a spot scrubber brush, and a 3-inch tough stain tool that works wonders when used on those areas of your car’s upholstery or carpet that have been allowed to set and are now going to take a bit more work to remove.

At a retail price of around $180, this Little Green machine is a great option if you are planning to detail your automobiles, but also want a carpet extractor that isn’t too bulky and can be used for other spot jobs around the house as well.

The Bissell Little Green Machine is easy to transport, easy to store, and easy on the budget. Though this machine is not as intimidating as some of the others on my list, don’t overlook it for its power and ability to get a hard job done, but be easy to manipulate as well.

12. Sandia Spotter 50-1001 Spot-Xtract Carpet Xtractor

Last update on 2024-04-16 / If you click this affiliate link and make a purchase, we earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

For the person who wants an extractor that’s close to commercial grade, the Sandia Spotter 50-1001 may be your best bet.

The Sandia Spotter carpet extractor is not taking its job lightly. Weighing in at 32 pounds, this extractor can hold 3 gallons of dirty water in its recovery tank, while also holding 3 gallons of cleaner in its solution tank, making it a machine that is ideal for those bigger and longer jobs.

It also boasts a two-stage vacuum motor system, allowing it to apply pressure and suck double the dirt than most carpet extractors.

This machine can be a bit more cumbersome than some of the others on my list, as it is truly made for commercial-grade jobs. The long, 7-foot cord helps when you are trying to maneuver it in and around large vehicles, allowing you the option of leaving the canister part outside of the car, and only using the hose.

It also sports polyurethane rear wheels that help when maneuvering it, which the above models don’t have. Its handle extends to make it easier to push or pull while in use, or when preparing to store it.

As I mentioned before, the Sandia is not the smallest of the machines on my list, nor is it the least expensive. A typical price for the Sandia Spotter 50-1001 retails around $700.

This is a carpet extractor that competes with many commercial models so it may not be the best option for you if you’re worried about cost, or don’t plan to use it regularly.

13. Hoover Spotless Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner

Last update on 2024-04-16 / If you click this affiliate link and make a purchase, we earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Weighing in at only 9 pounds, the Hoover Spotless Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is an ideal option for someone who wants a reputable clean and lots of portability.

This is a great choice if you plan on using it with multiple vehicles, moving it from garage to home often, or have a lot of stairs you wish to keep clean, along with your vehicle.

It also has a hose that’s slightly over 5 feet, so it can get even farther into those hard-to-reach spots, like under your car seats, or in between cushions.

There are several attachments, such as the Antimicrobial multipurpose tool that will not only clean the interior of your car, but it will also help rid itself of any bacteria, mildew, or mold from forming inside it in between uses.

The Hoover Spotless Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is not the most aggressive machine on my list, but it is a great gadget to have when quick spot cleaning is necessary and you want a machine that is easy to pull out and use.

It’s also less bulky and complicated than some of the larger carpet extractor machines, so you will find yourself using it more often, for smaller jobs.

At a retail price of around $100, the Hoover Spotless won’t be an enormous investment and therefore might be the perfect machine to begin with if you are not sure that cleaning your own car carpets is something you plan to do regularly.

Hot Water Extractor For Car Detailing Buying Guide

A hot water extractor is a tool that you can use to remove the wax, dirt, and other contaminants from your car. This will make your car look like new again.

Before you buy a hot water extractor, you must research the different models in the market to find one that suits your needs.

Tank Size

A car detailing tank is a container used to store water in a hot water extractor. It is essential to consider the tank size of your hot water extractor to ensure that it will be big enough for your needs.

The size of the tank should be determined by how much hot water you need, as well as by your workflow. If you use a smaller tank, you will have to refill it more often and less efficiently than if you had a larger one.

For example, you can choose anywhere between 3 to 12 gallons. Consider how much use you will need from it before deciding.

Hose Length

Hose length is a factor to consider when buying a hot water extractor for car detailing. You should ensure that it is long enough for you to reach the entire vehicle.

Getting tied up with a hose that is too short can be a nightmare. It will consistently get stuck on corners and only slow you down.

The goal is to upgrade to a machine that increases speed. We do not recommend any machines with a hose under 8 feet long, and if you can afford the upgrade, a 12-foot hose is best.

Heating Element

A hot water extractor is a tool used for car detailing. It uses high heat and pressure to remove dirt from the surface of your car.

The heating element is one of the most important things to consider. This includes the maximum temperature and whether you have a cold setting on your machine too.

PSI Level

The PSI level on a hot water extractor measures the power it can generate. It is measured in pounds per square inch and is typically found on the packaging.

The higher the PSI, the more powerful the hot water extractor is. It is important to note that a low-PSI machine will not be able to remove scratches and swirl marks as well as a high-PSI machine.

If you want to detail your car, you should consider getting a hot water extractor with a high PSI rating.

Water Lift

The machine’s water lift tells you how much lifting force the vacuum has. When the motor begins to pull water, the gravity created is known as the water lift.

This is necessary and effective in getting challenging areas clean. On average, you will see a water lift between 90-100 inches.

Some of the better machines will go even higher. You will get what you need if you are in this range.

What Is The Best Type Of Hot Water Extractor?

The best type of hot water extractor to buy depends on the size of your car and the amount of cleaning you want. Lots of car detailing means you need a commercial item.

Below are three different types of extractors. While they all work well, each type is suited for someone different.

Portable Hot Water Extractor

The portable hot water extractor is an excellent option for those who need something on the go. It is also lightweight and compact so that it can be taken anywhere.

We recommend this option to the vehicle owner with no commercial needs. The tanks are smaller but work fast and have a lower price tag.

The portable extractor is easy to use and has no moving parts that can break down or corrode. It’s also easy to clean up after use.

Tank Hot Water Extractor

The tank hot water extractor is best used for bigger jobs. This is the preferred choice by many commercial auto detailing companies too.

These extractors provide the most power with the largest solution and recovery tanks. However, this means they are heavier with much less mobility too.

The best thing about these machines is how well they work in homes too. You can use them for any type of big job.

Self-Contained Hot Water Extractor

The self-contained hot water extractor is an automated machine. These are used in much larger businesses, and they are not popular for car detailing yet.

Benefits Of Using A Hot Water Extractor For Car Detailing

A hot water extractor is a powerful machine that can be used for car detailing. We recommend one to all professionals in the industry.

It will make your job easier and provide plenty of impressive features. Below we list some of the benefits of a hot water extractor for car detailing.

Excellent Deep Clean Capabilities

A hot water extractor is a tool that uses high-pressure water and heat to clean and detail cars. It can remove dirt, stains, grease, or any other type of grime from the vehicle.

You can expect excellent deep cleaning capabilities for the interior of your car. It is most commonly used on carpets and seats for this exact reason.

Even if you think a stain is too rigid, the hot water extractor will likely find a way to remove it from your car successfully.

Minimal Scrubbing Required

The hot water extractor is a car detailing tool used to clean the vehicle. It has been around for a while, but it is only recently that the demand for this product has skyrocketed.

This is because you can use it to clean your car without any scrubbing. You just have to fill up the water tank, plug in and turn it on and then you are good to go.

This will allow you to save energy and get better results. You also need less for each clean with only a few cleaning supplies.

Fast & Time Saving

The water extractor is a faster tool to use, and it saves you lots of time when cleaning the interior. It removes the dirt and grime in a flash with a deep cleaning finish.

This is a great piece of equipment for car detailing because it is safer than using chemicals or any other traditional method.

It also works great because it doesn’t leave any residue or mess behind. This makes it the ideal choice for any detailer who wants to make sure their customers are safe from harmful chemicals.

Hot Water Extraction Alternatives

Using a power washer is one option to clean the carpets in your car. This is a solid alternative for some to decide against a hot water extractor.

However, it does have some downsides too. For example, you cannot use the power washer on your seats or upholstery.

You also need to consider the PSI levels on a power washer. Some are simply too strong, and they will damage or deteriorate your car’s carpets.

This would require using household cleaning products for the interior. While this is also possible, the hot water extractor can simply do it all.

Because of this, the investment is worth it. You will see a massive increase in time saved if you are doing car detailing.
