The TJ Wrangler takes us back to when Jeeps had hand-crank windows, manual dials for the Jeep AC system and the ability to see everything within the Jeep as well as everything outside of the Jeep with just a quick turn of the head.

Jeep TJ Carpet Alternatives
One of the most often discussed topics is what to do about carpet in a Jeep TJ. Carpet looks good and offers great sound and heat insulation. However, if it gets wet it can stink like a wet dog! This might also be a result of Jeep owners also being dog owners, but that’s an entirely different topic – lol.
Yes, you can always replace your carpet, and if your Jeep carpet gets wet, you want to use an extractor or pull your carpet to get it dry as soon as possible to help reduce bad odors in your Jeep.

BedRug Jeep Combo Kit | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars
The BedRug has the look of carpet, offers sound and heat insulation but it cleans up very easily and it is very hard to stain.
If it gets wet just pull the drain plugs in your Jeep and let the water drain out. The BedRug does not lock in odors like the OEM carpet does.
Also, the BedRug is easy to pull out so if you get it caked in mud like many of us do, you can quickly pull it out, hose it off, and stick it back in the Jeep!
What if you want to get away from the Jeep carpet look all together?
Don’t worry, there is a Jeep carpet alternative that doesn’t look like carpet at all. It too is created by the makers of BedRug. If I had known about it first, I may have used this in my 2005 Jeep Wrangler LJ, but I do love the BedRug so no need for me to change.
Jeep Wrangler Rubber Floor Liner
It has become popular to use bedliner from groups like Raptor Liner or Line-X to finish the interior floors of a Jeep. The challenge for many Jeep owners is they might not have the equipment or ability to install these products by themselves. Also, they do not have the best sound or heat blocking properties.
A good soundproofing solution is Lizard Skin, but again, these are not the easiest DIY solutions for most people. If you have your own shop with air compressors, the ability to tape and mask your Jeep, then maybe one of those options would work for you.
For everyone else, there is a great alternative to bed liner but it still looks like bed liner!

If you are looking for Jeep waterproof seat covers there are a lot of options out there. They come with mixed reviews, so be sure to do some research.
There are two Jeep seat covers that I highly recommend. The first set is by far the most recommended and popular Jeep TJ seat covers.
When I was working on My 2005 Jeep LJ, I went a different direction on the recommendation of a few friends. I am very happy with my selection and the price was very reasonable.

Don’t let the price scare you. If you are looking for the best Jeep seat covers, Bartact is the highest-rated and most often recommended seat cover. Sometimes you can find them on Amazon or Walmart, so it might be worth checking.
I found them on Morris 4×4.
My Recommended Jeep TJ Seat Cover
While the Bartact are the most often suggested seat covers for a Jeep, I found an alternative that doesn’t hurt your feelings when you see the price. The Bartact seat covers are quite expensive relative to my suggestion!
TecStyle Custom Fit Cloth Seat Covers for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
The look and feel of the TecStyle custom fit seat covers are fantastic. I got a ton of compliments on these TecStyle Jeep seat covers.
One friend even though they were factory seats! That’s exactly what I wanted because so many seat covers do not fit well, they flop all over the place and just look cheap (and ugly).
